Filter Forge 2
I've been experimenting with Filter Forge. A very powerful filter creator - works either standalone or as a plug-in for Photoshop. (click for larger image)

Composite Imaging in Photoshop
Using a number of stock images (at bottom) - available from www.sxc.hu/index.html it is a relatively simple matter to create a realistic movie poster. Thanks to webdesign.org for the tutorial.

Wilcannia
Located 965 klm north west of Sydney on the banks of the Darling River is the town of Wilcannia. Whilst it has signs of having once been a thriving community the population now is approximately 600 and many of the buildings are abandoned.
It has a large Aboriginal community, being the traditional home of the Barkindji people
On the Barrier Highway 196 klm from Broken Hill you would likely only stop to refuel.

Mundi Mundi
If proof were ever needed that the earth is round……you can actually see the curvature of the earth in this photograph. Taken just outside Silverton near Broken Hill. I’m told there is a 2deg difference from left to right (and right to left for that matter).Click for larger image.
